Almost every one of our products meets the requirements of the "Energy Star" label. This means that a system's energy consumption in idle mode meets all the requirements specified by the energy-saving programme. Of course, users can also save even more energy by using the installed timers or by switching off the printers after work or at the weekend.
Worth knowing: The energy consumption of electrical appliances is a major factor in their environmental efficiency. In recent years, significant progress has been made in minimising the energy consumption of printing, fax and copying systems. This reduction is essential if we are to conserve our natural resources. The US Environmental Protection Agency launched the “Energy Star” energy-saving programme in 1992. This programme was also officially introduced in the European Union in 2003. As of 2014, revised and stricter requirements have been in force (Energy Star 2.0).
Consumption management: using our heads when using paper
All our products that have been brought onto the market since 01.01.2017 meet the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC or those of the Energy-Related Products Act (EVPG). The aim of this directive is to conserve energy and resources. The last stage that is planned for the time being came into force on 01.01.2019.
Environment: everything is going green thanks to the Blue Angel
Our products meet the most recent requirements of the Blue Angel award scheme. In general, products and services that are awarded the Blue Angel label are more environmentally friendly than comparable conventional products and services. Almost all of our systems have been awarded the Blue Angel label because of the numerous benefits for people and the environment. You can find more information bundled together here.
Award procedure
The German Institute for Quality Assurance and Labelling (RAL) has been awarding the Blue Angel certificate since 1978. Among the bodies involved in the procedure for awarding the eco-label are the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Federal Environment Agency. We are delighted to be a member of this important (voluntary) eco-label and to make a contribution to protecting the environment and the climate.
Deploying the vehicle fleet: the environment has priority
Responsible fuel consumption is a matter of priority for our company fleet of vehicles. Our car policy therefore adheres to the high standards of our environmental and energy policy. When purchasing a vehicle, for example, we ensure that the engine limits are clearly defined, that fuel consumption is kept to a minimum and that the latest technology is used. In addition, our technicians work on the shortest possible routes that also save resources thanks to an automatic logistics system. And best of all, our remove services remove the need for some journeys all together.
